Port Macquarie is on the NSW mid north coast roughly mid way between Sydney and Brisbane.  It's a 4½ hour drive from Sydney, 4 hours from the New England region and 7 hours from Brisbane.

You can also get to Port Macquarie by air, coach and rail.  Countrylink trains stop at Wauchope which is only 20 minutes west of Port, QantasLink and Hazelton aircraft fly into Port Macquarie from Sydney 3-4 times each day and Pioneer Greyhound, Premier and McCafferty coaches make daily trips in both directions between Brisbane and Sydney.
